The riding academy for the Academic Art of Riding on Gotland

Ekeskogs is a peaceful idyllic spot in the parish of Hejde in the middle of Gotland, bordering on Lojsta where, according to tradition, the "russ" Gotlandic ponies still roam free. We have a full complement of farm animals on our farm; horses, cattle, dogs and cats. The riding academy educates horses and riders in the academic art of riding and communication with the goal to raise riders level of knowledge so that riding can be practiced for pleasures sake with out taking advantage ont he horses bodies and souls. The farmyard becomes a natural meeting place for everyone on their way to or from the different activities intrinsic to farm living. You are welcome to come and stay and just enjoy the farm atmosphere or to take part in some of the different activities we offer our guests. With or without your own horse!

Ronny Lund is a barefoot hoof-trimmer and game warden. He oganises nature excurstions during hunting season as well as hunting/fisching excursions for Gotlandic game such as rabbits, birds and fishing.
